Krebs Recycle fashions leashes from durable, pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled nylon climbing rope. Krebs doesn’t simply recycle rope, they do one better by up-cycling it, which means they use the rope in its original form and extend its life by transforming it into a dog leash. The rope quality insures an uncommon toughness and strength while remaining soft and elastic to the touch. The leashes are available in two sizes—4 and 6 feet in length, rope width measures 10–10.5 mm and comes in a range of colors. Made with industrial-strength stitching with a metal swivel snap in Seattle, WA. Color is general description and pattern may vary.

How Krebs Recycles

Step 1
Krebs Recycle collects both pre-consumer and post consumer recycled climbing rope from guide services, climbing gyms, and rope manufacturers in the U.S. and Canada.

Step 2
Krebs Recycle inspects the rope, washes it, if necessary, and then cuts it to length for dog leashes. This process is known as upcycling, since the rope is used in it's original form. Rope that is not suitable for commercial use is set aside for a secondary recycler that can re-process the rope for commercial uses such as furniture stuffing.

Step 3
Krebs Recycle sews the climbing rope into dog leashes. We are a family-owned business business that operates out of our garage in Seattle, WA. After the leashes are finished, we ship them to retail locations, such as BarkGoods.

At Krebs Recycle, our motto is "get a new leash on life." Our design philosophy is to take stuff that might otherwise get chucked into the trash and transform it into something fun and useful. Our dog leashes, for example, are made from retired climbing rope that needs to be retired for safety reasons after several months in a gym or a season of climbing with guide services.

STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS

Step 1: Adding Your Dog's Name
If desired, you may choose to add the name of your dog(s) to the image. This text will appear in the bottom right or left corner of the photo. Please double check the spelling of your dog's name as we will not correct any misspellings.

Step 2: Selecting Your Photo
Begin by uploading the digital photo that you want to use on your DogJoy book. Click on the “Browse” button and locate the file on your computer, we only accept .jpg, .png, or .gif format. Click on the “Upload” button to begin the photo uploading process. This process may take a few moments depending on the size of the photo and your Internet connection speed.

Step 3: Add To Cart
Once you've completed the previous steps you may now click on the “Add to Cart” button.

Step 4: Review Your Cart
After the photo has uploaded you will be re-directed to your shopping cart where you can confirm your order. If everything looks okay, click “Checkout” to complete your order. That's it! Bark will take your photo and do the rest. Once it is complete, we'll send you the book!

TIPS FOR UPLOADING PHOTOS
• Cell phone photos are acceptable if high resolution or large file size.
• We recommend a photo that is at least 600 by 600 pixels.

• The image file size should be a minimum of 500KB, bigger is better.
• The image file size can be a maximum of 2MB. If your image is bigger than 2MB contact us.

Q. Is DogJoy with a custom cover available to purchase as gifts?
A. Of course! When ordering the product please specify whether or not this is a gift. Also, we currently do not offer gift wrapping or gift message options. Please note, the packing slip that accompanies your order will inform the recipient who sent the gift.

Ordering Information
Q. How long does it take to upload a photo?
A. The length of time it takes to upload a photo greatly depends on your internet connection (dial-up, DSL, or cable) and the size of your photo. Generally the upload process should not take longer than a few minutes. If you have clicked on the “Add to Cart” button to upload your photo and have not been re-directed to the shopping cart order confirmation page within 5 minutes, please contact us here.

Q. What size photo should I submit?
A. Since we want to provide you with a high quality cover we recommend the minimum file size to be 100KB. Also, the image size should be greater than 500 pixels on both sides and for optimum print quality be sure your photo's resolution is 300 dots per inch. The larger the file the better quality of a print but remember larger files take longer to upload. See upload time information above.

Q. Why can't I upload my image?
A. If you have problems uploading your image you may contact us by email here.

Q. Can I pick which cover template I want to use?
A. At this time we are not equipped to provide this option. When you order a custom cover we will determine the best placement of the image.

Q. Can I see a preview or a proof of my cover?
A. Unfortunately, we are not equipped to provide this option. When you order a custom cover we will determine the best placement of the image.

Q. Will you crop my image?
A. When determining the placement of your image Bark reserves the right to crop your photo. We promise we won't crop out any important features of the photo.

Q. Can you make corrections to my photos before it prints (color corrections, red eye removal)?
A. No, we will not make corrections to the photos you submit. We will slightly enhance each photo for print but we will not make any image specific corrections.

Q. What if I don't have a digital file? Can I mail or email a photograph?
A. Unfortunately, we cannot accept photos sent in by mail or e-mail. Do you have a photograph that you'd love to use but isn't a digital file? Our suggestion is to scan the photo or take it to your local photo store or copy center. For best results, make sure the scan is a minimum of 300 dots per inch (dpi).

Q. I've made a typo! Can I correct it?
A. Unfortunately we cannot spell check or confirm the spelling of your dog's name. Please double check the information before you submit your order! If you have made a typo to your dog's name you should immediately email us here.

Q. Can I order multiple copies of DogJoy with my custom cover?
A. Yes! Please call us at 510.480.1330 for multiple cover discount prices. Discounts apply to orders of three (3) or more DogJoys with the same custom covers.

Q. How long does it take to ship the order?
A. You can expect to receive your custom cover within two weeks of the date your order is placed.
